Raikkonen takes Abu Dhabi Glory:
Lotus’s Kimi Raikkonen claimed victory in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, his first since returning to F1. He held off title contenders Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel for a shock victory. Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel put in an awesome showing, coming from the back of the field to finish 3rdand gain valuable points in his quest to win yet another driver’s championship.
United back on top:
Manchester United took command in the Premiership title race with a 2-1 win over Arsenal. Robin Van Persie scored against his old club to take United a point clear at the top. Chelsea fall to 2nd with a disappointing 1-1 drew with Swansea, whilst Manchester City stay 3rdafter failing to breach West Ham’s stubborn defence in a 0-0 drew.
New snooker top dog Judd Trump won the International Snooker Championship in China with a 10-8 victory over Neil Robertson. The win confirms Judd as the World Number 1.
Lucian Bute bounced back from his battering at the hands of Carl Froch, with a points victory over Russian Denis Grachev. The Canadian was made to work hard against the limited but energetic Grachev Bute now looks certain to activate the rematch clause to take on IBF super-middleweight champion Froch.
